What does a performance involve?
We will normally perform either 2 x 1 hour sets, or 3 x 45 min sets. These timings are of course approximate, and we always adapt to how the evening is progressing. (We are always happy to play a couple more numbers at the end if everybody is "up for it") In between these sets the band will normally break for between 15 and 30 minutes. We always provide a CD player with background music for inbetween these sets (you alternatively can provide your own CD's if you prefer). We can offer a more formal DJ service for after our performance (or during) in addition.
What if we want more music?
The band can perform for longer. However (depending upon the type of event), variety is normally the key to producing successful music at a special occasion. Consider booking our cocktail pianist for before or after the band's performance. Or consider using our DJ service to create a co-ordinated night of entertainment.
How does the band setup?
Normally we like to setup about an hour before our performance. It normally takes us 30mins, at most, to unload and setup all our instruments and other gear. For a normal sized venue we will not normally do a noisy "soundcheck". If the venue is large, or if an early setup is required please let us know when booking.
What equipment do you need?
The band has all its own Sound equipment (PA) and lighting. All we require from a venue is a normal 13 amp socket.
How to book the band
First
of all get in contact and discuss you requirements. If you then want to
make a booking we ask that you fill in a booking form (booking
form 
download)
and return it to us with a 20 % deposit to confirm the booking. This form
will then be countersigned and returned to you for your records.
When to book the band
Popular dates do get booked up long in advance. Try to book the band as early as you are able. We normally take bookings about 6 months in advance, although do let us know even if you have an event with short notice. We have a massive number of contacts in this field, and so may be able to pass you on to somebody else who may help, even if we are busy.
How much we charge
Our
fee for any event will depend upon performance and setup times, as well
as location and of course band size. Please get in contact and we will
work out a price for you.
